Yearly trans-hemisphere migration of Sooty Shearwaters to the coastline in Monterey Bay near Santa Cruz, CA. The shearwaters spend mid summer feeding on anchovies and other fish along with the pelicans and other wildlife. The Sottys feed ina circular flight pattern calleda wheel. This film shows footage of teh wheel shifting along the coast and out ot sea. Footage taken from the SC harbor jetty and from a kayak off the coast where the 'wheel' would fly overhead. Summer 2011 was a good year for fish and feeding.
