Blackheart amp demo

demo of my new blackheart combo. Swapped the power tube with a TAD EL84 and preamp tube with a sovtek mullard reissue 12AX7. I also swapped in a celestion G12H30 speaker in it. Really helped fatten up the sound and smooth out the tone. Using an eden analog austin overdrive for the gain. Carvin C66 guitar w/dimarzio evo's used.

To change the tubes really changes the tone of the amp or not ?

Cause I like your sound and i'm going to buy that BH15-112 but I don't know if i can get your tone...

@GuitarOnAir changing tubes changes more of the feel of the amp than the actual tone. a speaker swap will do much more to change the sound.

not really it's more voiced for classic rock and blues. it would need an overdrive pedal with lots of saturation to do metal.

You can decent metal tones out of this if you crank it up and use a half decent distortion pedal. I managed a great Iommi sound using this amp and a Boss Metal Zone pedal.

i've got the little giant, purty good amp. I use a OCD and reverb with it. For a 5 watt amp, it gets LOUD

Really nice mod! But with my Les Paul Trad should be too muddy, I think. I got same amp and for me is very good. The only con is that it don't have reverb. Do u have less volume with a g12h30?
