As teenagers, Hubert and his sister would go around Oshawa, Ontario delivering eggs. "She did the driving and she did the bookkeeping and collecting of the money and I did all the carrying in," Hubert recalls. "A lot of people in the city thought we were quite the team together."
Today, Hubert's got another team: his wife and three children. Together, they work and play on the farm. Their oldest child will soon be going to the University of Guelph to study environmental science.
In addition to providing their eggs to grocery stores, Hubert, with his sister, runs the family's White Feather Country Store. "We have lots of customers, a lot of regulars," says Hubert.
Producing eggs, says Hubert, is a privilege. "Even though we have our ups and downs in the farm community, the end result is we produce something for somebody else."

Looks like a great family business. It's wonderful to have locally produced farm eggs available.
Hope the hens have a few hours to run outside every day....... no living thing should be caged up its whole life.
