In Belgrade, Serbia there was a radio with title Art radio. It was my favorite radio. In that time about 5 years ago I had only slow dial up internet connection for any downloading or listening internet radio.
So, Art radio was very different from others radios. Not even like to radio Nostalgie. Art played several blocks as country, orchestral, instrumental, easy classical, romantic oldies, early Latin and folk Italian songs etc. I enjoyed very much. That was "my music". Art radio was private. Workers were at first lovers in music than professionals. Every day they gifted a few CDs with their music. There were outside associates, from their travelings they brought various and rare music. If you wanted a CD from Art radio only what you need was to find old LP or single (on 78) and give to them only for recording. Radio became more and more popular with increasing number of listeners. But, it had very low profit, not enough for normal living. One day State decided to reorganize air broadcasting. For new registration needed big summ of money. It was it. Art radio was shut down.
