Brainerd High School Choir 2001-2002 Jesu, Meine Freude (HD)

This is the Brainerd, Minnesota Senior High School A Capella Choir (2001-2002) singing Jesu, Meine Freude; composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. I sang 2nd Tenor in the choir during this particular year. This choir was directed/conducted by the INCREDIBLE Michael Smith at this time. This was one of the most challenging pieces which we did that year, however we executed this song beautifully through great teamwork and amazing direction. I can only tell you that it sounded amazing being performed in the unbelievable Cathedrals around Norway which we had the privilege of performing at.

What memories. 40 years ago I sang in the choir under the direction of Curt Hanson. Curt recently passed away at 90 years old. It is still an incredible high school choir!
