"I wish" Sp404 - MC09 - PodX3 - Xbase09 - Midi - Skee Lo

"I Wish" (Beat Builders Unite Mix 2008) - Massivebeatz building a groove live with some old and nu skool hardware (Roland 404, MC09, Jomox, Line 6 Pod, Axiom, Behringer). Alex Egger aka Massivebeatz thanks "For Music", Wien.
Info: Could be applied to a combination of other machines and setups such as AKAI MPC series 2000, 3000, 2500 better or a nice Virus Access for the synth line parts.
The sample is of course from Skee-Lo's 1995 Hit "I wish" .
Workflow: If u really wanna know - well, that's why we're on here putting this up.
Midi Axiom TO MIDI record Logic 8 EXS Bass + Synth lines TO MTC out port: Presonus Firebox Midi: sync out TO MC09 TO XBase09 . And: Sp404 Sampler, Fender Stratocaster, PodX3 Wah + Delay, Sure SM58 Mic Behringer Delay to
SUM into VMX 200 Behringer DJ Mixer. To out rECord with Imovie08 - Mac/analog Audio Line In (gee i could have used the Presonus audio instead...but preferred a wire running across).
Sample: track dragged & dropped into the computer from the CD - then cut to a slice and saved as 24bit AIFF file on a flash Card - which is then imported by the Roland Sp-404 sampler. Not complicated at all, just thought I make it clear - how the music gets "in here" from "out there" (when looking at the sampling part).

did you connect the sp-404 to you axiom 25 keyboard via midi

actually not - the axiom , was there to play the keyboard/synth line in Logic - and then it got sampled. you could very well do that though - and trigger via axiom. (advantage = more pads at once)

hi mate - I run a POD XT into PC using USB, and record guitar & bass onto CUbase SE.

I just bough a EVOLUTION MK-149 MIDI KEYBOARD off ebay.

I am hoping that the K/B can connect into the midi in on the POD, and cubase will recognise it as an input, so I can record the midi & use VST instruments.

Would be very grateful if you knew if this was possible!
