We've all heard about the resurgence of vinyl, I'm sure. But according to Chicago-based DJ and producer Chrissy Murderbot, while that might hold true for the indie rock market the dance world continues to mave towards an all-digital delivery paradigm. See, while hipsters and retro-fetishists (and, ok, audiophiles) may be gobbling up those big black music discs, DJs and dance music fans just care about the music. After all, they're not at home when they're getting their sweaty, booty-funk groove on. They're in their car.

We discussed all things dance music and vinyl with Chrissy Murderbot in the days leading up to his performance at this past Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. We were at the show, but neglected to check whether Chrissy pushed any vinyl of his own. His latest album, Women's Studies is available now through Planet Mu Records' website.
