Yeah, It's sad to think about, but guns were once used soley as tools for hunting of animals for food and survival; rather than weapons of death and destruction.

Listen. The amount of gun owners in Canada out number the the gun owners in America. (And that's WITH a far less population.) They have maybe 2 deaths a year involving guns. ACCIDENTS, NOT 1st degree murder. If they can get along, America should be able to aswell. SHOULD, but don't.

Shooting is fine as a sport or hobby, but too many people are killed by guns. It was easy for Harris and Klebold to get those guns, they could just as easily have purchased alcohol. Once you eliminate guns criminals are often forced to use other weapons such as knives which, though bad, aren't as deadly; it's why we have such a knife crime problem over here but that's better than a gun problem.

look if we ban firearms from citzens, all the ppl that'll have em will be cops and criminals. i target shoot and do ISPC, you would eliminating my sport and hobby. i would become defenseless. what about the weak and old, they can't fight back very well, the firearm is their only defense. yes their are still school shootings, like columbine, but ya wanna know somthing? they committed 26 felonies to obtain those firearms through the "black market". you think laws will stop them?

Regardless, it's A proven statistic that guns take more lives than they save. America's excessive crime rate is due to its free reign of guns, if legalisation of guns were so succesful why doesn't the rest of the world adopt thir policy. It's because guns are not the solution, the crime and death rates prove this. Tolerance and not violence is the answer. Sorry, I'm stoned right now. IF WE HUMANS TRUSTED EACH OTHER WE WOULD NOT NEED VIOLENT WEAPONS.
