i do not know why you all can not take it as it is said. THEIR IS ONLY ONE WOMAN WHICH CAN BE MEANT. (and can not be Mary). It is so obvious. Their is only one possible which carries the 12 tribes of Israel represented in her crown of life. THe woman of Rev 12 is indeed a spiritual church. Jer 6:2, II Cor 11:2. It is the bride of Jesus (future) Rev 19:9. Including both Jew and Gentile. The moon under the feet represents the old covenant to the Jews, and the clothing of the sun represents the new covenant to Jew and Gentile. The 12 crowns represent both the 12 tribes and the 12 Desciples. The grafting of the gentiles into the olive tree. Rom 11:24. So the woman in Rev 17 therefore represents an apostate church.

@brandthman85 reason why it is a future event is: Although Satan was cast out (lost his position in heaven), Satan still goes to heaven for the purpose of accusing the saints, like he did with Job. Look at these scriptures to see examples from the bible of times when God revealed this about some people, but the devil does it all the time: Job 1:6-11, Zechariah 3:1-2. Rev 12 shows a future time when Satan will be banned from Heaven but Satan will gain greater authority over earth
