Obama's Promise

In his August 9th Weekly Address, Obama promised "I won't rest until everybody who's looking for a job has one"... just weeks before he left for Martha's vineyard. Do you suppose he's not resting? He's even supposed to play a round of golf with Tiger!

@MrMvt333 , i don't believe that 8.8% unemployment figure. i think our government is lying to us. It's much worse than that. There's people who are kicked off the rolls. Our economy is in deep shit. Europe is in a shambles. And Japan doesnt help. either.

@k3304 i haven't seen the numbers... but i assume that's what it would be... a dent... not the massive unemployment we saw due to the financial collapse and freezing of credit... which was due to lack of regulation, lack of regulation enforcement... both of which are products of reaganomics and it's brother unfettered free market capitalism... I don't like NAFTA, but that's not the biggest issue for today's unemployment... any more than our trade regulations with china, or south america...

@k3304 no it doesn't.... no matter who was in office NAFTA was going to be signed and put into law... every mainstream republican, every mainstream democrat wanted NAFTA... the only people recognizable to the public who didn't want it were Ralph Nader, Ross Perot, and Noam Chomsky.... now NAFTA had very little to do with the financial collapse, so please stop bringing this up when we are talkingabout the failures of reaganomics

@MrMvt333 , Hillary Clinton being on the board of Wal Mart while husband Bill signed the NAFTA Agreement sort of smacks as a conflict of interest. They also hold a large chunk in stock since he was govenor of Arkansas
