i got this talkbox a while back and decided to give it a go whilst covering a classic ocremix:
The Incredible Singing Robot / Star Salzman

i sequenced rhodes & string machine, recorded bass and cut up drumloops in Live 6 for backing tracks against my improvising on the Phatty and singing/scatting on the Banshee.

So are you just talking regualrly in to the talkbox while the tones are translated by the notes you are playing on your keyboard? I don't know much about sound design so forgive me if it's a stupid question.

the talkbox takes the audio of my synthesizer and funnels it into my mouth, where i just mouth the words while i'm playing. hope that helps!

Excellent work. It thrills me to see a piece like this which takes into account the character that the song revolves around and turns it into /Robo's/ narrative. Kind of like that crazy Kefka cosplayer, but I always enjoy seeing a good portrayal of a character in addition to a work of art: it takes it to another level.
