During my grandfather's last few days at home before his admission into an assisted living home geared towards Alzheimer's patients, I made a short documentary. The video shows the dementia in a humorous, factual, and heart-touching way. Symptoms of dementia are listed throughout the video along with examples from my grandfather. My grandfather has since passed.

  • Made me cry, my papa has alzheimer's

  • Gents to honest where I come from in Africa Zambia in particular this disease is non existance. My grand father is now 90 years old. He does every thing by himself. That is walking, washing, sweeping and he goes to the field to manually tear the land for crops to grow. This disease is one I have seen here in the west. What causes this disease? I gues stress has a bigger contribution to this. I had never been stressiful in Africa until I moved to this part of the world.

  • I am a caregiver an find it very rewarding and where I work posted a song I wrote on you tube (Rene's Song I'll Carry You) It is what we do as caregivers!!!!!!!!!!

  • I realize now that I'm lucky my Grandad hasn't developed alzheimers. He is 87 years old and still has a sharp mind, always naming people on TV and musicians on the radio. It sucks because I live so far away from him I can't spend time with him :( He only has a few years left, I really hope I can hang out more with him before his time comes :'( *begins to cry...*

  • He seems like such a sweet, nice man. Reminds me of my father in law (passed away in 1999). I miss my father in law. He was always easy to get along with, quiet, calm and soft spoken. And loved the grand kids.

  • @NeEdYoOhNoW I'm sorry that she has alzheimer's :(
