What is CrossFit? CrossFit is an effective way to get fit. Anyone can do it. It is a fitness program that combines a wide variety of functional movements into a timed or scored workout. We do pull-ups, squats, push-ups, weightlifting, gymnastics, running, rowing, and a host of other movements. Always varied, always changing, always producing results. Kids, cops, firefighters, soccer moms, Navy SEALS, and grandmas all do CrossFit. In fact, hundreds of thousands worldwide have followed our workouts and distinguished themselves in combat, the streets, the ring, stadiums, gyms and homes. Welcome.

I was a wrestler in my younger days, which is about as tough as it gets in sports. I also played football. After college I did MMA and also lifted weights and exercised at what most would consider an elite level for years. I've basically done it all.
So, when I started crossfit, I thought I would go in there and be fine. But I was dead WRONG! It kicked my ass big time and still does! I've never done anything so hard in my life. For those of you hating on it, I challenge you to give it a try.

basically its a group of ppl training (lifting, horizontal bars, pushups, squats etc) in a place with a coach who always screams FASTER YOU WIMPS and corrects your mistakes (technique errors). this is great for people who want low fat percentage but i dont think its good for fat people because they always give up after 1-2 weeks its just too tough on their body

So being a strength & conditioning coach I have come to the conclusion that crossfit is basically the same stuff you would do with a well education and multi-dimensional person trainer but minus proper form as so not to get injured. thanks for clearing that up!

I haven't exactly been doing the sort of stuff in this video. Been doing a DVD workout called GSP Rushfit, but the pain in my knees has gone since I started. The stuff here isn't exactly the same. That could be it.
