Why are people so ignorant about SCBA's? If you knew anything about firefighting, you'd realize that packs are completely unnecessary in vehicle fire situations. There is plenty fresh air around to breathe and the fireman would not usually get close enough to be affected by the smoke.It would be a hassle to get packs on everybody, then go back and fill them up later. They would just waste precious air.
