There is no global recession. This is just the collapse of the US economy. There will be a painful transition period which is what is happening now but the fundamentals of most of the rest of the world are strong. See Peter Schiff.

Canada will be effected as our commodities will have to be shipped to Asia for manufacturing and compete with Russia, etc but there will still be a market as Asia begins to buy their own products.
