Some fun with a katana


I want people to know that I'm not just about messing around with anything martial arts related. I learn both sides of it, the flashy show martial arts, and the practical use of it. There is just stuff I don't do in actual combat that I do in these videos(about 90% of it) cuz I know it won't work.
and if I did actually use it, 2 outcomes. 1 I get my ass kicked or 2 you would feel real dumb getting hit by some flashy show stuff

Hmmm.... Where do you train at? Also what styles do you know?

Florentine is a fun thing, but Katanas? I much prefer short swords

i train at Sidekicks, as for styles I train American Freestyle Karate, which is what I mainly train, Brazilian Jui-jitsu, Capoeira, Okinawan Kobudo(I think that's what it's called, bo-staff and nunchuku)

Kali-Escrima, Esshin-Ryu Iaido, and now a bit of Chain Whip. The 2 katanas were a bit much for me to handle at the time, and still are.all I did was fuse my knowledge of escrima with iaido.. I would like to learn how to properly use 2 katanas, which mean I need to learn hiten-ryu.

What state is Sidekicks in? I myself train in Krav Maga, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, Basic submissions, and free style boxing

@HellSpinner86 Yes, I'm sure you tromp around Alaska cutting down every opponent you find in the street. God, I can't believe the level of stupidity and naivete you find on these "martial arts" videos- which are often just prepubescent teenagers imitating moves they saw in video games.

posers in this world that learn a couple of flashy techniques are suddenly inspired to upload their pathetic looking dramatized display of martial arts for everyone to see! if your gonna demonstrate your fighting ability, then mean it, dont be fake.Train and fight as if your going to die, this is the true martial arts way, because death is the only thing that can stop us! PATHETIC!
