  • how much did that setup cost?

  • i went through my reciepts at one point including all my trips to autozone for random things like hose, clamps etc. the total including the engine came in around 1500$ but thats not including labor since i did all the work myself.

  • how can i swap my engine for something else???

in my fiero, im gonna put a lambo kit on my car and need a powerful engine

  • highly recommend that you check out west coast fieros for parts to swap in a 3800sc. if you haven't done custom work before the 3800sc is the perfect engine for you due to bolt on upgrades

  • im not here to rag on this motor at all but these engines are an absolute nightmare to work on and i feel the 3800seriesII would have been a better choice simply because of ease of mantainence and the3800s2 is far more reliable but either way in the world of modding fieros i like this dare to be different engine its a very sweet set up.

  • yeah the 3800 is a strong engine and well proven, but its also boring, low revving and not what i wanted.

  • the 3.4L was DETUNED prior to release. If released with the full 281 HP it was supposed to have it'd destroy 3.8's all day long and then the aftermarket. the 3.4 has much more potential for power than the outdated 1960's technology 3.8. do some research before making blatent statements. The 3.8 is not more stable or capable of more. it was just easier to deal with. That's it.

  • I have had 3.4 dohc in a gtp. Maintenance headache, no aftermarket support, to revy no low end torque. Got a ssei with 3800 supercharged, unreal torque, better mileage plenty of support, better reliability, cheaper labour rates. I tried to love that dohc, but in the end, it was jus a piece of shit. Get a 3800 if you want to be happy.

  • True, but GM should have made th 3.4 SFI better, those have good potnetial too.

Ask more if needed bud :)

  • This car is for sale.

  • oh sit!

  • longer video man

  • thats b/c they came with shitty gasket seals replace them with metal ones and your fine it's a $500 fix (at a shop but you can do it yourself for a lil over $150) and while your doing that if you have a super charger you can add a short stack intercooler for another $500

  • what lambo body are you going to use?
