Rocky couldn't do commercials because in the process of filing a lawsuit against the accountant, they had to look up Rocky's criminal records and found out that he was a collector. If you two happen to remember in the first movie.

Also. They punched Rocky Jr. more than once when they stole his jacket. The only thing you got right about Rocky Jr. was how he was a young kid and was 4-5 years older by the time they got back from Russia.

First off. Paulie didn't have power of attorney. The accountant lied to Paulie and told him that the paper was an extention of the taxes and to get Rocky to sign it, which gave Rocky's power of attorney to the accountant.
