a quick question though... you were saying in a response to the comment below me about exporting as quicktime, does it include symbols saved as movie clips as well or do they have to be graphics? cause export as avi sucks.

Yeah, symbols work great. It's the best feature of Flash 8. At least the way I rate. It.

Instead of publishing, go to File, Export, and Export as a quicktime file. Flash 8 Quicktime export includes actionscript compatibility, which allows for particle effects etc.

dang thanks man that takes alot of stress away. but is there a way to lower the filesize through exporting or should i just use a different program for that?
