A bit submissive at first, this youngster is ever so friendly and playful after a short warm up time. She is happy, sociable, loves the company of people and gets along well with her kennel mate, Nicole. Luna romps around the play yard with a bouncy playful gait. She has a nice easygoing personality, enjoys attention and likes to be close to you. A sweet girl she likes to show her affection with quick kisses and she can be very loving. We found that she loves squeaky toys and will entertain herself by flipping them into the air to extend her playtime. No matter what activity she is engaged in, she devotes her whole self to the endeavor. She is a fun loving girl, alert and responsive girl with a joyful outlook on life"
Despite such a wonderful assessment on such a beautiful dog - The Animal Shelter put her to sleep anyway February of 2006.

  • The 8th dog? As far as I know, he was in the shelter like so many others and never made it out. I wasn't personally involved, and I don't know anyone who was.

  • these kind of videos get harder and harder to watch. I've rescued two dogs and it just isn't enough. I wish I could foster...

  • I look down at my two foster dogs, who were minutes away from being put down when I had them pulled, and wonder at the insanity of mankind. These loving animals dead? No way.I cannot save them all, but for these two, it is everything. Please, consider fostering an animal for a rescue operation today. You'll never regret it!

  • My heart weeps.

  • my dog had heartworm and slow died ..I still miss my dog always share experience.

  • so depressing..sigh!

  • what a beautiful tribute to all the animals that die in shelters. I volunteer at our local Humane Soc and its so sad that so many wonderful dogs are put down just because their owners abused or didn't want them. Does not speak well for Human Beings, they never learn. Spay, Neuter and keep the animals you commit to.

  • I just wished my place was big enough for so many dogs...but my heart is

this makes you sad, so sad

  • I really think for to have an animal people should have to apply as if they were applying for a passport - maybe that way they could be convicted of ill treatment or abandoning "Loved ones"
