See how Silicon Labs audio drivers help achieve optimal sound quality in Class D audio applications. Class D Audio technology is becoming very popular because of its low distortion, high efficiency and relatively straight forward architecture when compared to traditional amplifier approaches. The Silicon Labs Si824x Class D audio driver uses proprietary CMOS isolation technology that provides capacitive level shifting for substantially higher latch-up immunity, reducing noise coupling and increasing transient immunity.

  • The Si824x Audio Driver is optimized for use in Class D audio systems. A better choice for motor control apps would be the Si823x isolated gate driver family, which is targeted at motor control and switch mode power delivery systems.

  • Any reason not to use this chip for motor control?
