@MisFire45 Even Bobby didn't do it first. It became a local hit in some areas, and all it took was the Bobby Fuller Four's definitive version to put it on the charts.

First version was Sunny Curtis and The Crickets, The came The Bobby Fuller Four, Then Clash and other covers, I personally like this version the best and The Crickets version 2nd best.
