Since water is so vitally important, and because so much of it is needed for survival, we should prepare for a disaster now, by storing as much as we practically can, and by making preparations for collecting additional water. Since the water we collect will most likely be contaminated, we will also need to be prepared to filter and purify our water.

  • great prepper video! btw, survival doc, what kind of accent do you have? i live in the pacific northwest, and your accent is very unfamiliar to me. midwest?

  • @SurvivalistSong Deep South modified by many years living in the Midwest.

  • This probably sounds stupid, but could pools count for water sources?

  • @RougeSamurai77 Certainly, as long as you have a good water filter. I have a pool for water storage (actually a cattle waterer but my grandkids use it as a pool.)

  • wht does be prepared or be prepared to be fleeced even meen?

  • @lowfatjello1 When you purchase your water filter, be sure to get one that removes the fluoride from your water. Also go on a no-TV fast and watch prisonplanet.tv. It will take time but that fuzzy-headed condition that you hare accepted as normal will eventually clear up.

  • I use to hate having to dump and refresh 55 gallon drums of water for my dad when i was younger. but i see now days he was not stupid.

  • @MrCheckitout123 Yeah... One gallon (US) weighs 8.43lbs (3.78kg), that's 463.65lbs (207.9kg) PER 55 gallon drum. Stacking is probably NOT a good idea for drums (unless you want to tap them with a spigot).

  • @guns4good just moved a full 55 gal drum. fricken heavy is right on. I would not stack as that is alot of sitting weight on the lower level drums.

  • great water video. I too use the same barrel/gutter system for gardening water. Not only is it free and saving the water bill, but rain water is higher in nitrogen and contains no chlorine as opposed to city tap water. Keep up the good work

  • activated alumina filters remove most flouride. flouride is much worse than most people realize. Iodine is a great disinfectant and should be used as a supplement, do a search on iodine-magnesium-selenium

  • use a biosand filter for lake or stream water.

  • Swan Lake!!!!
