Computer Science, as my professor said, is not a science, and not really about computers. CS deals heavily with algorithms, math, and proofs. You will receive a heavy dosage of advanced combinatorics (emphasis on graph theory) and probability as well as the mandatory full-specturm overview of machine architecture. CS is really just math with a more applied touch, with the added notion that speed now matters alot.

I know how to program, and I want to do the things talked about in this video. But the problem is that it hides complexity. The reason Javascript is valuable ostensibly is because I could make something of arbitrary complexity and host it as a webpage.
I spent a lot of time working with the Shootorial on Kongregate. It was a fantastic idea, but the infrastructure to use Flash was obscene unless you drop 100s on proprietary software. It is a really disheartening experience.

When I went on to the Computer Science page, nothing showed up. Is there something wrong with the website or is it just my computer?

I am working on a tutorial series "Creating a simple iPhone APP using a SQLite Database". My view counts are beginning to pick up. I hope my lessons are beneficial to my viewers and provide the information they need like your lessons provide.
I really enjoy your lessons and working on customizing my lessons similar to your style. I hope you expand your computer science lessons to include Database design and Object Oriented Programming.

This is a very clever way to teach people things, Sal. Show them a neat looking game and tell folks that it's possible for them to make it for they put in the work. I'm impressed and love what you folks are doing. When I'm finished with my degree, and get a good job, I really want to start donating to you folks.
You're a great dude.
