Top of the table (div 1) Watford travel to Luton in October of 1997.
The Hatters are going through a bit of a crisis and the Hornets are in great form. No one could have expected quite such a start from the visitors though..as they go 4-0 up after half an hour.
There were no further goals added but watford enjoy their first victory over their local rivals for a decade.

Watford and luton play eachother once every 5/6 years look what happened in 2002 when we met type in into youtube and then tell me if you still think its poncey. You wouldnt see that in merseyside too busy sitting next to opposing fans in the same stand. bollocks.

Its a proper rivalry. Full of history, hate and tear ups. And you call the merseyside derby proper? It might aswell be called liverpoolveverton sponsored by sky+ you play eachother twice a season its just a normal league game built up by the media to sell papers.
