Ahheemm! Flipn4gymnastics- it fits the definition of a sport perfectly! It is an athletic activity and it does require skill! We tumble, throw people 20 feet in the air, dance, yell our cheer, all with a smile on our face in 2 and a half minutes. Competitive cheerleading is a sport, but when you just cheer on the sidelines for games it isn't. Cheerleading is the hardest and most dangerous sport ever.

eh hem even though im not a big fan of cheerleading, just because you say a sport is a contest between two opposing teams doesn't mean that cheerleading isnt a sport, the deffinition of a sport is : an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, and i really think that cheerleading shows that.

OMFG, im a cheerleader, and it is hard work, and makes you sweat! so anyone who thinks cheerleading isnt a sport. id love to see you do a backhandspring, lift someone above your head, or throw someone to almost go through the roof!

i agree with you 100% !!!!!!! cheerleading definatly is a sport, i wanna see some of these guys that are called athletes lift a few peole up in the air, or do any of that!!! im not saying that it isnt hard to do that stuff bhut come on, cheerleading IS a sport!!!

a sport is a contest between two opposing sides where one side attempts to become victorious. so cheering isnt a sport unless its a compition thing yano?
