This was a very early test, it wasn't fully functional. A lot changed till the latest version. I don't remember the settings but latest OBGE thread has a section for different recommended presets. You can check my "crossing the bridge " video for my settings.

looks really cool but im not sure i would like to use that when playing. seems like it would get in the way a lot.

You can try and find out. :) I think it adds to the atmosphere.
PS. It is not that bright in final release.
