My very first dance band 78 was this tune and Miss Annabell Lee on a HMV 78 the band i have forgotten, but played it over and over!My very first 78 was Gracie Fields doing Smile When You say Goodbye,i took it to school c 1984,and another boy played it on his nans battered portable-i recall he brought a boring eclipse of amazing grace to play!I recall some of the older teachers born in the 20s being quite taken to hear it again.

Again another favourite given the Jack Payne injection. A young Bing and Paul Whiteman was my first initiation to this excellent tune.
