I love how the music is not in sync with the conductor. His downbeats are not even with the downbeats in the playing music. Makes it hard for me to watch. I performed this song for band with video clips that matched the scenes in the movie. It was really cool!

The song is actually called "Concert Suite from Dances With Wolves" arranged by Jay Bocook. I want to buy this for my high school band

Dances With Wolves is a sublime piece of American cinematography, where the clash between the ancient ways of the Native American people and the expansion to the West is portrayed with awe-inspiring eloquence. Definitively one of the best motion pictures of the 20th century.

actually, this really doesn't do the movie justice. this ensemble is pretty out of tune sometimes.

those clarinets don't sound as good as strings would on the melody there....but the deeper brass sound good.
