Alan Partridge about music (Very funny!)

I know. I'm American but I keep coming back to Alan Partridge clips and laughing my ass off. If I am tracking right he is a
2nd or 3rd rate talent, with no sense of appropriate behaviour or speeech who is trying to claw out a living, or, dream come true, make his way back to the top. Steve Coogan is a genius. Some refrences I don't get...but, after Monty Python, I'm used to it...: )

He's an extreme caricature of a cringeworthy, uncool, patronizing English radio DJ/TV presenter. If you're ever in England tune into a regional radio station and you'll probably hear someone who sounds a bit like him. He had a chat show (Knowing Me, Knowing You - see the TV series) which got cancelled and now he's basically a complete has-been.

I live in America and i worry about the same thing. Alan is a British man. And he killls me. But will he translate...? I hope so...

Finding nothing but British comedy the least funny, I feel like a Briton at heart :)
