Taking the Metro from Alexandria VA to Washington DC is the easy way to visit the Smithsonian. I've featured the Hope Diamond and the live butterfly enclosure, and of course some old bones.

Unfortunately, I visited this museum with a school trip, where we were given the task to explore this museum and the american history museum across the street in just 1 hour and 30 minutes.
