This video shows the repair of a tympanic membrane perforation (a hole in the eardrum) using the inlay technique or the butterfly graft, developed by Dr Roland Eavey at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA.
I had this operation On Monda morning! For the moment I can"t hear anything form that ear doctor said it's normal...When I am supposed to recover my hearing?
oh ...i have done this !! but it failed !! stupid doctors !! im so sad about this ...i cant swim ...but there is no pain ...but hearing is alittle bad !! its so annoying ..i mean come on ...im only 16 !!!
I'm in a hotel waiting to have this done in the morning. I suppose it's a little different in that they will cut a hole behind my ear for access. *gulp* wish me luck.
hey ther :)well, ur hearing is almost normal, only mayb u will feel a little discomfort hearing loud noises(u mite feel as if ur ear drum is vibrating inside) other than tht its ok.thers no pain. even in the resting period. for a couple of weeks u gotta b a lil careful but after the doc makes sure the graft has been taken up, thers nothin to worry. all the best! :)
