How I spent a week of vacation - parting out a car to support Olaf; our '89 Volvo 240 Wagon. The only thing that went to the "dump" was recyclable sheet metal and the headliner - which I accidently ripped while removing. I saved everything else...I just have to make room to store it all!

  • So... then you've got some extra trim bits to send away? :)

  • @zzaletel ...a few. Anything in particular you are looking for?

  • I'm confused - the body on that one looked to be very solid? What warranted the harvest?

  • The body was nearly perfect and it pained me to hack it apart. The car was sold/bought for parts. Actually, the folks I bought it from had bought it just for the tail gate. The tranny had a bad bushing/seal - that's the only problem I found. I did save some key body panel like the rear wheel wells etc. I always disassemble my parts cars like this so I have the parts handy and don't have to go out in the middle of winter to harvest a fuel pump in the snow!
