In this video I show the two different types of Symmetry have in Hexagon. One is for working on one half of the model, while the other half replicates it. The second type is by means of producing a mirror clone of half your object, or complete objects where this is required.

  • Look at those Face/Edge/Point Count :O

  • @Warcraftinator This base models poly count wasat least 4x lower than this, this model has be devided, for a final render within Luxology Modo, and is no example on the meshes I make today, point being, Hexagon is as good as the modeler. This model was used as stand in mesh for showing Hexagons features.

  • Would you be able to make a model like this is Hexagon? And on an off note, can you even make your own models in daz3d? Or can you only buy them?

  • @9000nonono Yes you can, I made this model in Hexagon. DAZ3D is the company that makes Hexagon, the only other software that DAZ3D made that you can model in is Carrara, which is not as Good as Hexagon on the modeling side. With Hexagon and Carrara together, you can model, rig, and animate, plus render.

  • Im seeing my asnwer 7 post down on this video. you cant see it? I answered it a year ago.

Here is a quote of that very reply.

To import any 3D model thats of a OBJ, or supported imported formats, you go to the file menu, and click on import. You can choose the file types Hexagon supports from the drop down dialog box. This female was made by myself in Hexagon, and reformed with Hexagon and Zbrush.

  • Iv already answered the question on how to get the female model into Hexagon, and where it came from. If you have another question I will be happy to answer.

  • @CGDreamsTutorials then post the link to where you answered it because there are too many vids to have to go through and listen to to get that information.

  • @KaTheRiNeLoveRainbow luckily, DAZ studio is a free program.. a bit of a steep learning curve on it, but if all you need is to get the model into Hexagon, that should be pretty easy to open it up and then export it. Hope that answered your question.

  • @KaTheRiNeLoveRainbow if you go to daz3d dot com, you can download free 3d models such as the one you see in this tutorial. However, you must have a program such as poser or DAZ Studio in order to export it out as a .obj or some other compatible format so that in can be imported into Hexagon.

  • i ask the same quest .. how did u get the female model??
