Step 7. Lost wax Casting reproduction using wax injection. 21083

This is the seventh step in the reproduction process I use for making my jewelry. After the metal has cooled to about 900F the mold is broken by dunking it in cold water. This is probably my favorite part.

Can you recycled the mode material?

@Wildatheart73 as far as I understand, the materials cannot be reused because they undergo a chemical change while being used. Great question though! Thanks for watching!

@fraterscire the vibrating machine that the mold is on is actually a vacuum casting machine by the name Per-cast. They run about $1200 new. I got mine used from ebay a few years ago for about $150 I think. It is alot of fun, good luck.

@shasha2727 I am useing a Jelrus Digi melt w/ a graphite crucible. They run about $600 new. I purchased mine through Romanoff, Ny. If you need their contact info, just let me know.

wHEN YOU USE THIS ELECTRIC MELTER, DOES IT CAUSE YOUR ELECTRIC BILL TO SKYROCKET? dO YOU NEED TO USE BORAX AND A STIRRING ROD WITH THE ELECTRIC MELTER? Sorry for the caps I just realized I had ther capslock on. Thanks so much for this series of videos. Much respect to you and your knowledge.
