Good for them, the more people responsibly carrying guns is a good thing. Maybe eventually people won't be so freaked out by it. Law abiding citizens that carry concealed or open have never been a problem, stastically we are the most law abiding segment of society.

I dont like the way the media patrayed this, why would one feel uncomfortable to see this?, Folks see cops, detectives,sheiriffs,Govt. officals,etc all the time carrying a firearm..,We are all free equals,under US constitution, and if your a law-abbiding citizen its your right to carry,plus it will make the criminal think twice before he/she starts to engage in a crime, if folks are armed aswell, and the tyrannicals in govt. for the same matter!!I dont know which is worse lately!Both criminals!

Another thing...he has always found CCDW carriers extremely polite and respectful, and very aware of their rights and their responsibilities that goes with the CCDW. He treats them with the same respect.

I asked a cop friend of mine about open carry. He is a cop in a small town in Kentucky, also an ex-marine. He has never had a problem with legal weapons carriers either openly carrying or concealed. He stated that he was all for the right to carry, open or otherwise. Generally he has found that people are just not aware of open carry in most states and are often surprised that it is legal in many places. States make no effort to advertise this fact.

These are all scare tactics and myths perpetrated by gun control fanatics. The criminals love it because if should such controls happen then they know they have the public at their mercy. I like knowing that I can protect me and my family along with my buddies Smith & Wesson.

"More guns in law abiding public hands will just be like the WILD WEST with gunfights every day!" At least that's what the Brady Campaign keeps telling me. So how many people were mowed down at this meeting of fully armed citizens?
