@ranman92 Way too commercial? Um ok, which of their albums was heavily pimped? The only album that the mainstream even mentioned was the one he gave away.

@NJay783 No. That is when NIN were only getting radio play on the alternative station that played bands like The Sugarcubes, EMF, Sisters of Mercy, Cocteau Twins, etc. My uncle used to listen to that radio station and he was the one who got me into alternative music. When I turned 11 years old then 1040 AM started playing more of Jane's Addiction, The Pixies, Nirvana & that is when my uncle stopped listening to 1040 AM, but I continued. 1040 AM stopped being alternative radio around 1992/93. :(

This is when they were still underground industrial. ..Gawd I miss those days! :)

Nin now is nothing to what they were in the early to mid 90's after the spiral they were and are way to commercial. You could see them in cleveland for 5 dollars in 1989-90 their rawness is what made them great. They sound better technically now but the energy isn't even close to the same.
