@dragonfitter 2 days ago...3 of us tore out and replaced 10 windows in 4 hours. Double hung plus insulation and replacing the inside stops. The outside trim took longer....

how many windows would you be expected to fit a day we do things very differntly in the uk but i reakon i could do 6or 7 like that a day

This is insane to install windows by leaving existing frame....This isnt the correct way to install windows.
To remove the nailing fin use a grinder to leave in the wall. Why keep it?
Also most windows require tapcons, on frame or block construction. This is a cover up Job....
