This is the Torchmate 2x2 with a Thermal dynamics Cutmaster A60 plasma unit. We were cutting the flange for the oil pan for a 2005 Honda cbr 600 rr. The material was 6061 Al, 0.065'' thick. The torchmate took 2:30 to cut out the flange. The g code we made using torchmate software. From cad to finished part was about 1/2 hour. way quicker then our mill!!!!

  • The base unit goes for $2999. A router can be added but you need to also add a Z axis. Torchmate has a tube cutting setup but you would have to contact them about it.

  • How much? Can a router be attached? Can you work on tubes with it?

  • Need to change your tool path from conventional to climbing (reverse your paths). It will give you better edges.
