Mazda Rx8 Spa Francorchamps 2009 04-05

Belle session où je commençais à prendre confiance, devant moi une Supra MKIV full prépa et sa soeur jumelle Rx7 FD de la même team qui restera derrière. Journée MLR du 04-05-2009.

Very nice video, excellent to have the chance to drive around Spa!! But.... You lifted every time at Eaux Rouge (takes a lot of balls not to!) ;-)

Well done for taking the Supra etc. who were clearly quicker in the straights, but RX-8 had the clear advantage on the corners :-)

@thepearces : Thanks for the comment. I did'nt see anyone not lift à Eaux Rouge / Raidillon in fact :D , it's really a dangerous portion, lifting helps getting good steering control and prevents skiding when arriving on top where you can lose control and really have a bad moment. Sometimes it is better to keep "balls" intact huh :D !

@Tsargate: Hehe, indeed.. There weren't many F1 drivers who didn't lift either -- and plenty of offs as you describe - when I had the privilege of watching F1 there in 1998 :-)

Juste le fait de tourner à Spa c'est déjà énorme. Je sais pas combien tu as payé mais ça doit faire mal au cul. A propos de la rx8 c'est une bonne voiture au niveau comportement et sonorité manque juste les deux turbos de rx7.

@lordk01290 : mal au cul j'irai pas jusque là :D, 250€ c'est un budget certes mais ça les vaut largement face à des circuit moins rapide et prestigieux à 150€. C'est pour moi un des plus beau circuit du monde, j'y retournes d'ailleurs en mai 2011 avec encore une fois le club anglais MLR. Même si la 8 manque un peu de watt, elle reste très efficace en courbe et au freinage, donc le plaisir est bien présent. Hâte d'y retourner et de vous refaire une vidéo !
