I dont think it is. If somebody is stupid enough not look both ways before crossing two tracks and doesn't see a head light and hear a whistle blowing then they shouldn't be outside without a helmet on. That's a little bitter but I don't really have remorse for anyone who INTENTIONALLY tries to beat a train. I've heard stories of kids getting hit and I have remorse for them because they don't know any better and my condolences for the train crews who have to suffer with that every day.

@dumbasscracker Only one railroad crossing,(Palmer st crossing a silent zone surprisingly) the other crossings have speed limits of 80 mph or lower :( Meanwhile, on the Keystone line the Irishtown Rd crossing in Strasburg has a speed limit of 100 mph too. That one is, thankfully, NOT a quiet zone. :) Search both crossings on youtube and you'll find video of both. :)

@dumbasscracker OK thanks. Wish they still had the Turboliners. They were DECADES ahead of their time.

Wow! The flash on rails. Years ago here in Florida we had quite a bit of 80mph running. More limited today. We have a lot of idiots that walk across the tracks frequently without looking or caring. Something happens, they run to find an ambulance chasing lawyer.
1st of all. I love the crossing bell. 2nd, I Love the K5LA! 3rd: Trains go that fast at my railfanning spot. and 4th: He is Going 75,80-83-84 or85
