This one features 100 time lapse sky/cloud sequences set to an original classical-style soundtrack. The sequences were selected and compiled from over 250 hours (27 million frames) of realtime video, which was shot in the skies over Santa Clarita CA during 2006 and 2007.

Stereo FLV encoded with RIVA, settings: 320x240x30fps video at 285kpbs, and 22khz audio at 56kbps.

Original soundtrack: "Modus Operandi" (very unpolished, adlib version) by Technician. Soundtracks available on CD at JCMDI.COM

MP3 released:

  • Poetic...The last time six and a half minutes of clouds were interesting to me was when I tripped on acid! :D

Amazing video though...haha...I live right up the mountain from you ^_^

  • Indeed the clouds can be a bit slow and un-interesting in realtime, but much better when sped-up a bit! :-) The show is much better up in the mountains, or at least the view is :-)

  • great movie

  • Thanks so much for checking it out! I will have to re-make a much better quality version on this one some day - it's an oldie and was encoded at very low resolution in order to get stereo sound (which was a big deal at the time). Cheers! =)

  • Great Video. It makes me realize that we only live once and should take more time out of our lives to enjoy the natural beauty around us more often. I enjoyed your video very much. Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • I agree - we miss so much cool stuff in our day-to-day rush through life. Glad you enjoyed the show - thanks so much for the great comment! =)

  • Those are probably the best clips in the vid. I've been meaning to-make this one in HD since this old version is very low quality. All the new stuff is so much better. :-) Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • These 2 stand out the most I think.

3:44 is great, 4:19 cloudbirth is amazing.

  • It's truely amazing the variety of sights in the sky if one looks long enough :-) Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

  • i like the clouds that look like their the bubbles from a boiling pot, and the ones that look like the sea foam crashing
