Well, tits, I guess we have to let all the rapists out of jail whom were pronounced guilty through evidence of forensics. We didn't witness the rapes, therefore we can't condemn them.

Are you joking? Do you think the only way to have evidence for something is to directly witness it? Thats whole reams of stupid. You are either joking or totally misunderstand the concept of empirical evidence. For instance if you look and the Genomes of a series of animals that are each slightly less related you can see how the similarities in the genetic code become increasingly fewer. This is perfect empirical evidence of evolution, and doesn't require someone to sit a wait for it to occur.

Ah, yes, Google search Project Steve.

There are more reputable scientists named Steve that support evolution than there are scientists, in total, that support intelligent design/creationism.

So funny, starts of with this quote by Rudolph Carnip: "science is a system of statements based on direct experience and controlled by experimental verification," and then proceeds to sing about stuff that CANNOT be directly experienced nor experimentally verified such as evolution and the big bang.

Because of the times proposed in the theory of evolution (and abiogenesis), these "theories" are systems of statements that CANNOT be based on direct experience and that CANNOT be controlled by experimental verification. (For how can anyone experience a phenomenon that happens over billions of years, and who can wait for such an experiment to be completed?) Therefore, these "theories" are NOT science.

I saw something about there being more scientists named Steve who concur with evolution than those that don't and then my email would show me no more. I was disappointed! I wanted to see more! I think there are probably more reputable scientists named Herzig Bogomanny that support evolution that those that support the alternatives!

If you caught a hold of my last post to you (before I deleted it), then I apologize. I completely misread what you said.

Yeah, because the theory of the origin of life is that it happened within a time span suitable for laboratory testing. The primordial soup you speak of may have had to sit, lifeless, for millions of years before replicative molecules began to emerge. And no, the only people that cast aspersions on the theory of evolution are those without an iota of scientific literacy.

Sickle-cell disease occurs because of a mutation in the hemoglobin gene. Sickle-cell disease occurs more commonly among people whose ancestors lived in tropical and sub-tropical sub-saharan regions where malaria is or was common. Where malaria is common, carrying a single sickle-cell gene (sickle cell trait) confers a fitness. Specifically, humans with one of the two alleles of sickle-cell disease show less severe symptoms when infected with malaria.
