@AntiquityCentury21 It sure is. I've lived here almost all my life. There is nothing left. It's pretty sad that we have to keep looking outside the state to find work (not that that's going any better).

The way I see it, from my own small business experience. Cutting my 5% profit margin by 3% would have run me out of business and laid off 40 workers. It is more a need to cushion the operation from the vicissitudes of ups and downs than greed. However, the best thing the feds could do is figure out how to collect taxes themselves. Businesses are not required to deduct people's rent and phone bills from earnings. People should pay their own taxes, too.

Tacking on a little tax here and there adds up. Ask all the companies who fled from Michigan. Some were here from the day they were founded. Now they're gone. I guess taxes on businesses really don't make a difference at all. *sarcasm*
