"The Golden Foretaste of Heaven" is a film directed by Austrian director Richard Wilhelmer. Music by Alec Empire and Nic Endo. Lead actors are Robert Stadlober and Friederike Kempter. The film is animated from over 20.000 2 D images and received a lot of attention at this years Berlinale Film Festival. Shortly after it was included in David Lynch's Engine Collision Film Festival in Los Angeles. The sophisticated cast with Robert Stadlober, Friederike Kempter, Suzan Anbeh, Franca Gelfort and Erik Hansen in the leading roles, enjoyed the experience to imagine their characters in a fictitious world by beeing isolated in a blue box. The legendary musician Alec Empire composes an exclusive soundtrack together with Nic Endo.
In an abandoned cityscape the young soldier Chance was rescued from death by supernatural figures. To save the world from its designation, these figures need to travel to Mars to fulfill a certain prophecy. Chance knows about a secret plan. A space shuttle is ready to evacuate the president into outer space. Stealing the presidents shuttle is their last hope but there is not much time left...
