Hello. Is it possible for you to provide sources for the "St Basil the Great" and especially the "St. John Chrysostom" quotations you use?
Because there is at present a St. John Chrysostom quotation going around the internet beginning "Should we look to kings and princes to put right the inequalities between rich and poor?..." in which he appears to argue against Wealth Redistribution.
I ask because i would like to have the matter clarified. Thank you and good video btw
No worries on the typo. Yes, the worse consequences are the gene transfers (as you probably know) to the surrounding environment. Plus the contamination of neighboring farmers, which should be enough to warrant a total ban, even on a purely capitalist perspective.
This is truly a terrifying thing (for me anyways), more so then a total economic collapse and police state.
@AntaeusG12 Sorry, I meant "not only larger". In fact, these weeds can now only be controlled by labour intensive hand removal from amidst corn rows and wheat fields. There are still worse consequences from GMOs.
@AntaeusG12 Monsanto and Cargill both, and unless they are stood up to, they will soon enough control the world's food supply. You may know that the use of Roundup Ready grains has resulted in the overuse of Roundup, and that this had created "super weeds" that are not larger, hardier and totally immune to Roundup and several other herbisides. This is catastrophic for many farmers.
The fair tax system fixes the problem with loopholes. No more tens-of-thousands-of-pages tax code. There would not be a burden anyway, if the government lived within its constitutional means in all aspects (civil, fiscal, foreign policy).
Right-wing fundamentalism is not part of the Libertarian philosophy. I too, find it humorous, and disgusting, when Protestants condemn sins, when they are not saved by works, and are all EQUALLY guilty, regardless of the graveness of sin.
Monsanto has done more to destroy agriculture then anything else.
In terms of illegal immigration, the borders should be secured. No NEW amnesty should be offered. What you do with the the non-violent illegals who have established lives, who knows. It's a conflict between morality and the rule-of law, which should have been upheld in the beginning so there wouldn't be this huge moral dilemma. But if you want to stop just the violence, end the drug war.
@usagoodbyeisayhello Perhaps he would also overturn the concessions stands in the vestibules of Protestant Megachurches also? How can you possibly compare RightWing violence against the personhood of so many thousands of people with Christ removing the crooked business enterprises from the Temple. He did not do violence against the humanity of anyone.
The establishment GOP does not reflect Libertarians' view on gays, a lot are atheist. Do not look to Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann on anything TEA PARTY. Ron Paul "started" it, Michele butchered it.
I terms of kids and guns in schools:
-The private sector must only appease it's customers. AKA: if you don't like the policy, take your business somewhere else.
-The public sector must appease everyone. Good luck!
Nobody wants to deprive minorities of civil rights. They believe in the rights of business owners to hire whoever they want and don't want, on whatever grounds (race included). You, and I, may not support and condemn his racism, but I support his right to do so. They do NOT support discrimination in public sector jobs..
Proper health care can be provided cheaper and better in a TRUE free market system that breeds competition and innovation. This Crony Capitalism that is currently in place produces monopolies, high costs, and no accountability for damages.
With regards to minimum wage not being sustainable, thank the Fed and it's Keynesian economy policy for rising living and commodity expenses.
