Lucas Gilbertson in Mega Man X4 - Zero vs. Storm Owl's Air Force

"The X4 We're Fighting For" saw a minor update last week. Videos were reconverted from PS1 rips, and no longer use the Indeo 5 codec, which should net everyone better quality and allow Windows Vista/7 users to jump in.

Storm Owl is perhaps my favorite stage in this game. Skipping the ride armor to better enjoy the voice hack, but Eagle is frikkin awesome too (although hover + charge shot is REALLY broken).

So, Johnny Yong Bosch made a splash with MVC3 a while back. I've got nothing but respect for the man with the Frog Power, believe me, but Lucas is still THE voice of Zero in my book.

Much has changed on my end since last time. New less-crappy computer means no more reconfiguring display settings before screen capture software can even run, and I axed HyperCam, so no more watermark. Yay!

Trouble is, you can't vary the lines based on health levels, so after a rough boss fight Zero is lying through his teeth. That was the one issue I had with that line in Command Mission.

Oh man I love this. I wish there was another version with Johnny Yong Bosch. Someone needs to bug him to do Iris' death scene too.

This game was the first full PS1 game I managed to download to my computer, and was the first I changed the data, all because I wanted to hear Lucas as Zero.

I mean, COME ON! He does an amazing job and totally redeems the infamous 'Iris's Death' scene.

I'm glad I found this hack, it made the game just that much better. :B
