I made this remix of the lost battalion/music video trapped for 6 long days in the Argonne Forrest from October 2nd thru 7th, 1918.Of the over five hundred soldiers that entered the Argonne Forest, only 194 were able to walk out unscathed. The rest were killed, missing, captured, or wounded. Major Charles White Whittlesey, along with several other officers received the Medal of Honor for their valiant actions.Whittlesey was also recognized by being a pallbearer at the ceremony interring the remains of the Unknown Soldier. However, it appears that the experience weighed heavily on him. Whittlesey disappeared from a ship, in what is believed to have been [and was reported as]a suicide, in 1921.

  • The more I read and research about this war, the more mind boggling it is that we were so easily duped into going there. Germany was no more a threat to us than Bermuda was. Yet we lost about 116,000 young lives in about 18 months. To quote Sgt Dan Daily (one of our most famous Marines in history), "war is a racket".

  • nevermind

  • what is the name of the song at the beginning?

  • @wbtrex08 I don't know if you have joined the army or not yet but I was the same way in 1970 when I arrived in Vietnam. I quickly learned that at the first shot all the "fire" was gone immediately and all I wanted to do was live and not let my buddies down. There is no glory in war. Serve proudly but don't join to be heroic.
