Mary`s brother, Marty Hatch, grown up, is played by Hal Landon. The credits omit listing him, and it is quite an oversight; 'little Marty Hatch' gives credit to the child actor early on, but not Hal Landon. Hal`s career in Hollywood must have gotten a boost from this role, but what a disappointment to be left off the credits: he didn`t just bring George Bailey & his sister Mary together, he helped capture the Bridge at Remagen!
