@veerkar They were wrapped bales of hay. It rained so much in June and July this was probably necessary. Stacked two high and I took a nice nap on top in the sun.

@atz123ify memories fade faster than you'd think... If I may give you some advice, forget the scenery. take pictures of people, for they, and your experiences with them, are what you will remember and care about the most. A year after your hike, when you're flipping thru photos, you'll skim over every mountain top and sunset picture you took, but you'll stare forever at the pictures of fellow hikers. Smiling and laughing at the memories the photo brings back. -Caveman NOBO 2010

Thanks! I hiked in 09 from Springer to Duncannon, PA. I owe the Trail 1040 miles and it calls me daily. Beautiful pics, even the damn snakes.
